"Red 1", Serial No. 210003, only the third FW-190 D-9 delivered, was the personal aircraft of Hans Dortenmann from the time he picked the aircraft up until the war ended. This aircraft is described in the notes on the color plate for "Black 1" between pages 112 and 113 of the book "GREEN HEARTS - First in Combat with the DORA 9", by Axle Urbanke. "Red 1" is the original color scheme before the aircraft was repainted as "Black 1". |
